The 2009 K2 Apache Recon is the latest installment in the series; the Godfather II to your Godfather. Just like Coppola, the kind folks at K2 have seen fit to improve an industry standard for the benefit of humankind. The K2 Recon blends the perfect amount of waist and tip width, married with a generous sidecut, to create a platform that gives you exceptional control on firm snow. Its Titanium Laminate Cap makes the Recon Skis powerful, durable and lightweight, while the MOD technology absorbs shock like a luxury vehicle. The ski of choice for the quiver of one.

  • MOD TECHNOLOGY:The ultimate in modern ski design. MOD combines an elastomeric secondary core that works as a high-performance suspension system and mass damper to provide the highest degree of ease, power, forgiveness and performance.
  • Men’s specific MOD Monic:By embedding the solid 25 gram zinc mass into the Men’s Apache series, test teams found skis had a smoother ride because vibrations were lessened.
  • Titan Metal Laminate Cap:Metal construction creates a damp and powerful ride. Two sheets of lightweight titanium alloy run the length of the ski, offering K2’s most complex and highest performing constructions. The Titan metal laminate cap consists of alternating fiberglass and titanium above and below the wood core.

                  These skiis are great! They are automatically fun and I would recommend them to anyone. Great on ice, easy in the powder, mogul friendly and absolutely the easiest turning ski I have ever stepped into. Not a fast ski. I'm comftorable skiing on 204cm racers that fly when you put the spurs to 'em. Not a racing ski but that may be a good thing for someone who is still learning speed control. I have last years model, '09, and Evo gave me a great deal. I'll be back!
