K2 Apache Hellfire Skis + Marker M2 11.0 Twincam Bindings 2009: The fraternal twin of the Apache Crossfire, the K2 Apache Hellfire Ski may be more modest, but it rips just as hard. A true purist, the Hellfire politely refused metal in its core, rid itself of the Crossfire’s piston binding and hopped on a ship, originally intending to ski only in Europe. The Hellfire makes its debut in the US this season a bit lighter than the Crossfire. This ski is ready to destroy any terrain with a semi-soft flex and a wholly genuine appetite for good ol’ fashioned snow.

  • MOD TECHNOLOGY:The ultimate in modern ski design. MOD combines an elastomeric secondary core that works as a high-performance suspension system and mass damper to provide the highest degree of ease, power, forgiveness and performance.
  • MOD MONIC:Focuses the benefits of mass dampening into a concentrated area. Bottom line: lighter weight, in all the right spots.

Comments about K2 Apache Hellfire Skis + Marker M2 11.0 Twincam Bindings 2009:

Solid ski. These guys work well on east coast ice, mashed taters and groomers. Took them out to SLC and they rode well in 6"-8" pow, anymore than that is tough. Stay out of the backcountry with these and stay on the groomers for good carving, speed and smooth rides. Super light and solid design. Held up well over 30+ sessions this season with no seperation.

Comments about K2 Apache Hellfire Skis + Marker M2 11.0 Twincam Bindings 2009:

This is a great ski for all over the mountain, even does decent on ice for being a western ski. Tends to get scratched and dented on then top of the ski very easily. Does best in a thin layer of heavy snow. In the end I have enjoyed skiing on them every time.

Comments about K2 Apache Hellfire Skis + Marker M2 11.0 Twincam Bindings 2009:

Being an intermediate / advanced skier, I wasn't looking for something that would fly me down the mountain in 28 seconds, but I also wanted something that I could really learn on, have fun with, and still be able to take some risks. These Hellfires are just the thing. Although I would have liked the turning radius to be a little tighter on these, their carving ability and overall speed really makes up for it. Over one season, these skis have helped me improve from being mediocre on Blues to racing down Double Blacks, and even off some jumps and rails! Be warned, the yellow shown in the picture is more of a bright lime green (I was a bit surprised when I opened the box), and the surface seems to get more chipped and scratched every time I come back from the mountain... but nothing that effects the performance of the ski, just aesthetics. It's also a little heavy, so the terrain park is a little more difficult. However, for the amazing price that Evo is offering this ski for, it's definitely worth the buy. Good luck trying to find a jacket to match though!

Comments about K2 Apache Hellfire Skis + Marker M2 11.0 Twincam Bindings 2009:

Very pleased with my Hellfire skies. I ski mostly groomed slopes in Pennsylvania (thought we've had more than our share of powder this year). They have great grip on groomed slopes, carve well, turn fast, and are fine in soft natural snow. A budget price for a great all around ski.

Comments about K2 Apache Hellfire Skis + Marker M2 11.0 Twincam Bindings 2009:

It handles fantastic. The carving ability is superb, grabs an edge very easily with little effort and pulls you through like butter. I haven't used them in fresh snow yet but on the groomed trails out here in NE they have been better than I expected. A little heavy but that is what I think actually makes them run so good...
