Comments about K2 Anti Piste Telemark Skis 2008:

This skies are great. I used them in the backcountry and in resort. I bough the 167 cm. I mesure 167 cm and my weight is 150 lb naked! The binding I used is the new G3 Onyx with a pair of scarpa spirit 4 boots.

I always find my way to do everything I wanted with these skies (backcountry, soft snow, mogols, hard pack, icy condition, downhill, etc). For sure the best use is soft snow and in touring. On the hard pack the skies are a little bit too soft, they were not so great if they sink under the crust... and I repeat, IF they sink!

They are a little bit of work but work weel in mogols and hard snow condition. On ice, they are really not so good, but you should be able to past through.

The main advantage if the low price of the anti-piste. But if you are ready to pay a little bit more, I will really recommend the new COOMBack, which is, from my point of view, the same skie but stiffer than the anti-piste.

If you compare this skies with other brand, I will suggest you to look for 1 or 2 mm of extra side cut difference between the tip and under foot width. That should help in hard snow condition without really compromise the performance in soft snow condition.

Comments about K2 Anti Piste Telemark Skis 2008:

Definitely a powder-oriented ski; carves OK, but it's not what this ski is designed to do best. Early rise/slight rocker design really helps in the deep pow. The inserts make it easy to install bindings yourself. They're really ugly, but who care? These aren't made any more, so snatch them up!
