Icelantic Nomad SFT Skis 2010: The Icelantic Nomad SFT ski has the same specs as the regular Icelantic Nomad ski but features the super soft Nollie Flex core. The Nomad ski is the explorer, the adventurer, the trekker. Able to tackle any and every snow condition, at ease among ridges and peaks, and eager to lay into any terrain, the Nomad is an exceptional tool of versatility. Its shape and flex give the Nomad remarkable stability, superb maneuverability and explosive power. The Nomad is also a great big-mountain, backcountry jib tool, so if you favor a bit of everything and want a ski that can handle anything, the Nomad is the ski for you.

  • Core and Flex Pattern:Poplar Wood core is lightweight, durable, and poppy, and the STF-specific Nollie Flex is softer specifically for lighter and/or female skiers. Unilateral fiberglass balances ski flex.
  • Construction:ETLX 2200 Triaxle fiberglass provides phenomenal torsional rigidity. 2.2mm steel edges are thick and strong, and Durasurf 2001 P-TEX sidewalls are extremely durable and facilitate excellent energy transfer.
  • Shape:Icelantic’s narrowest ski. The fatter tip and tail of the Nomad make this an all-mountain tool that excels wherever you roam. Moderate sidecut for all-mountain performance.
  • Graphics:Co-founder and friend of Icelantic, artist PARR creatively arranges elements in a way that appeals to the senses and emotions. You’ll get lost in a daydream staring at the beautiful graphics as you sit on the chairlift.
  • Binding Compatibility:Requires a brake width of at least 100mm

Comments about Icelantic Nomad SFT Skis 2010:

Great ski, has the ability to shred over anything in any condition. I skiied it all over this winter, from Tahoe to Colorado to even Virginia. I had pow, crud, mashed potatoes and ice: nothing that the Nomad couldn't handle. The width creates great float in pow, the sidecut is perfect for just cruising down groomers, lightweight and the flex makes it fun all over the mountain from steeps, schutes, drops, and even in the park. Only thing is that the top sheet is not as durable as I had hoped, it shows scratches and nicks all around from usage, but who can't expect some signs of wear and tear.

I love the graphics. I've mostly gone touring with them and they have been great so far. The tips seem like they might be a little wide for some skin attachments.

So I took these up for some tree shreds at schweitzer and they dominated! Great float and still killed on groomers. Did have a little trouble having them hold hard on ice at first but nothing too bad.
