Fischer Watea 78 Skis 2010: The Fischer Watea 78 features a wood core and sandwich sidewall construction so you can float through powder laden trees, rip the zipperline in the bumps or bang out turns on the groomers. The Watea 78 does it all.

  • Core and Flex Pattern:The Air Carbon is an ultra lightweight and extremely strong high-tech material from the aerospace industry. Improves handling and performance.
  • Construction:The Sandwich Sidewall Construction is perfect for maximum edge hold and extremely smooth running as a result.
  • Shape:The moderate sidecut of the Watea 78 allows for greater stability at higher speeds and is perfect for all-mountain cruising.

      This is a great ski for all mountain skiing. I have a 3 ski quiver and this is the ski I consistently pick when I don't want to swap out ski's as the snow and terrain changes during the day. Not a deep powder ski but it can handle most other Pow days if the length is correct for the type of skier.

        I'm an advanced intermediate skiing mostly east coast - this is a great ski with a great feel carving groomed trails, and glides right over the soft patches. Most fun I've had skiing in a long time. Can't speak to powder performance yet, but looking forward to taking them off the trail next weekend. Highly recommended.

          I got these skis as a gift from my girlfriend. She did a great job picking them out. I got up to Vermont this past weekend and got to really rip it up on these amazing sticks! They handled beautifully on all different terrain. They were super fast on the groomers and able to withstand some really hard skiing in the woods and bumps. They carve through ice and float over the powder. Best pair of skis I've ever owned!
