Park skis are simple; they've got to have a solid, responsive flex that remains playful, a manageable footprint, and a healthy dose of camber underfoot. The Faction Ambit Skis cover all those bases, and tosses in a touch of tip and tail rocker for added versatility beyond the confines of the park. Whether your trying to dial in those front 4s or arcing turns in the morning before things soften up, the Ambit will give you the all mountain capabilities you want and the park performance you need.
Rocker / Camber / Rocker – 10 mm rocker in the tip / 5 mm camber underfoot / 5 mm rocker in the tail
Flex Rating 3 (1 Soft - 6 Stiff) – Medium flex for predictable handling in the park and on the slopes.
Short Turning Radius – Quick and agile edge to edge at all speeds.
Symmetrical Twin Outline – Tip and tail dimensions are identical for reliable and consistent handling both forward and switch.
Poplar / Ash Core – Poplar is a medium-weight, damp, vibration-absorbing softwood. Ash is a heavier hardwood that compliments the Poplar by increasing stiffness, responsiveness and providing a solid base for the binding screws.
Bi-Axial/ Tri-axial Fiberglass – Fiberglass is used in two different formats to aid the compressional strength of the core and esnusre long-lasting pop.
Gloss ICP8210 Topsheet – ICP8210 topsheets have a natural high-gloss finish which avoids the need for lacquer and helps the ski look better for longer. Better for the workers in the factory and better for the environment. A small but highly impactful change.
Cap Construction – Cap Construction is slightly less expensive per ski, but complicated to setup. Still using wood cores, the cap technique removes the sidewall to save weight and materials. Rubber is used to dampen vibration and bond the base layers to the core.
Die-Cut Ptex 2000 – Extruded PTEX 2000 base material combines performance and value.
Carbon Ground Base – High quality base finish for intense speed.
1.8 mm Edges – Used on 99% of Faction's skis, the 1.8 mm hardened steel edges are strong and dependable.
Digital Printing – Used on Faction's core and women's models, digital printing provides greater flexibility for designing complex graphics and requires no setup process, however the colors are not as bright or strong as the silkscreen method.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
