Dynastar Outland 80 XT Skis + NX 12 Fluid Bindings 2012

Dynastar Shop all Dynastar
Dynastar Outland 80 XT Skis + NX 12 Fluid Bindings 2012: Perfectly endowed for the advanced and expert skier tear up the entire mountain, the Dynastar Outland 80 XT Skis + NX 12 Fluid Bindings have All Mountain Rocker technology for maneuverability in a variety of terrain and snow conditions. Traditional camber underfoot, plus moderate tip and tail rocker give you full-length edge engagement while on groomers and hardpack. At the same time, this rocker profile also gives you float and tracking when moving through softer snow and ungroomed territory. You’ll be tearing down the entire mountain with these lightweight and sturdy Dynastar skis.
All Mountain Rocker reduces edge length, provides easy pivoting and turning, and gives you edge length recovery in the turn for a better, more stable grip. You’ll get immediate and easier flotation in all types of snow. This rocker is very progressive in the tip, with limited length and height, and even lighter in the tail.
3D Construction means the wood core that is hollowed out in the center where the stress is less intense and reinforced on the ski exterior to improve power transmission to the edges. This makes the ski lighter and helps enhance skiability, performance, and control.
Fluid X is a new plate that is more précis, lighter than the aluminium version, and offers higher performance than the composite version.
The Look NX 12 Fluid Medium Bindings are made for sports and leisure skiers looking for comfort, performance, and simplicity. NXs are a benchmark in terms of reliability, safety, and lightness. They work with your skis to ensure that the entire mountain will become your playground.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as will as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
  • Turning Radius: Medium
  • Core/Laminates: Basalt, Wood
  • Tail Type: Partial Twin Tip
    Partial Twin Tip
Partial twin tip skis have a tail that is turned up, but not as much as the tip. This gives you the ability to ski backwards and back out of tight spaces, but these skis are mainly designed to ski forward.
  • Warranty: 1 Year On Skis, 5 Years On Bindings
