Went from a Pro status using pro forms and sponsors to having to purchase skiis from a shop. I can say EVO made it easier than using Pro forms. I was able to buy what I wanted instead of having to settle with what companies were trying to market.

Dood carving speed; need to really stay on top of the ski for speed. Fun ski overall, especially on bumps because the length and side cut. Good on th soft stuff but have not tested them in powdr conditions.

I'd long been a devote of the K2 Apache Recon, having had two pairs. When my last pair broke I thought it time to experiment. To be honest I was hoping to find something as good in another ski. What I found was a significant leap forward, almost as if I'd not ski'd for a few years and the game had changed.
The Legend Sultan 85's do genuinely meet that overused cliche of 'all mountain' ski. Whilst they are heavier to carry from the car park to the chair lift you forget about that as soon as you start sliding. They smash through crud and choppy snow like a sledge hammer and yet hold a graceful edge when executing sweeping carves across the face of a slope.
Short turns are there for the taking too, this ski has one of the shortest radius' - at least of those marketed as 'all mountain skis'. I'm not sure if it was my lack of fitness or the heavier ski however stringing a lot of short turns together tired me out more than I remember happening in the past. Let's blame my fitness.
I'm off to Japan after Christmas and in recent years I've left my skis behind and rented. Not this time, I'm both curious to see how the Legend's handle themselves in the (hopefully) deeper, lighter powder of Japan and I also just want to ride them again. As soon as possible. Can we go now?

These skis are awesome. I didn't rate them five stars because I don't know what a "perfect ski" is but these were very comfortable on all the terrain I threw at them. For someone who wants to leave quivers to Robin Hood and just spend a day ripping the mountain these skis are for you.

I have only one day on these skis here in Colorado, only skied early season hardpack groomers but they held really well. I was looking for a ski to take all over the mountain and have some fun on a powder day and I thought the 85 under foot would be much better than the 69 I've been skiing for the last 10 years. That remains to be seen though. They hold an edge extremely well, no drop off from my old Crossmax's. Only downer is that they are heavy, but I've only noticed this in carrying them from the lot to the lift, not so much while I was skiing.

Great all-around skis. Started out with 6" of powder, ended up in crud. Did very well in these conditions (had also demoed them in deep powder, and they definitely held their own there).

This ski runs excellent over all terrain. Weather on the groomers, hard pack, rocks or in the power these skis are great. The most responsive skis I have had! The combination of the layers truly make the difference!
