Dynastar Legend Eden Fluid Skis + NX 11 Fluid Bindings - Women's 2012

Dynastar Legend Eden Fluid Skis + NX 11 Fluid Bindings - Women's 2012: Eden isn’t a garden, it’s a mountain covered in powder and twisting, fast groomers; where it’s always bluebird and term “lift line” is a totally foreign concepts. Eden is dropping into a bowl, making first tracks, and without thinking, but rather knowing through the feel that you and your skis are in complete control; charging through chop doesn’t concern you because your slow-rise Freeride Rockered forebody will keep you up and maneuvering with ease, while your duel layers of vibration dampening titanal construction are there to reduce fatigue. Eden is exiting that bowl onto the groomer and feeling the power of your underfoot camber and vertical sidewalls boost you back to the chair to do it all over again. The Dynastar Legend Eden Skis for women, they’re paradise under your feet.
Shape
Exclusive All Snow Rocker has moderate rocker in the tip and tail for easier turn initiation and camber underfoot for grip and carving performance. It adapts well to different terrain.
Construction
Traditional sandwich technology with a Wood and Fiberglass core gives the ski enormous fluidity and responsiveness. The straight sidewalls ensure precise, effective transmission of the skier's movements.
Women’s specific Balance System is a three part system specifically developed for a woman’s anatomy: forward mounting points for precision and weight placement; a raised heel for balance and better body positioning; lightweight design and construction for effective control over the entire ski.
Bindings
The Look NX 11 Fluid Bindings are lightweight bindings that provide increased leverage for easier turn initiation.
DIN range: 3.5-11
Included Bindings
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.
Core and Flex Pattern
The 3D Wood Core is hollowed out in the center where the stress is less intense and reinforced on the ski exterior, improving power transmission to the edges. The absence of titanal sheets reduces significantly reduces the skis weight making them easier on your shoulders while hiking.
Exclusive Fluid System was specifically designed for women to fully satisfy their requirements: lighter weight thanks to a shorter rail adapted to women's boot sizes, a high-performance rail totally integrated in the ski's mechanization, comfort guaranteed by the vibration absorbers, and specially adapted flexibility and rebound.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as will as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
  • Turning Radius: Short
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Partial Twin Tip
    Partial Twin Tip
Partial twin tip skis have a tail that is turned up, but not as much as the tip. This gives you the ability to ski backwards and back out of tight spaces, but these skis are mainly designed to ski forward.
