I'm a big (6'2", 250) expert skier who likes old-fashioned short-swing carving with my skis right together (sorry, but I learned how to ski in 1970, when that is how it was done). Rented a lot of demos before I decided on the Dynastars. These skis provide great stability for a big guy, especially at high speeds -- no chatter at all. However, they are also flexible enough to carve really well, and are good in the bumps. I am 100% satisfied.

Skied in tahoe for 4 days and this ski handled everything well. Quick and responsive in the trees and plowed through the crud with ease.

I am glad to own a pair of these. The Legend 8000's are the perfect match for the type of skiing I do in Vermont. They are capable of taking me down on steep groom trails, in the glades, through the powder and in the crud.

I mostly ski moguls, fast groomers and some woods in VT. These skis plow through anything and stay solid in speed.
My old skis are Dynastar 8000's from 2006 - the new Fluids are much heavier but don't rattle when going fast and break through chunky "snow."
The Fluid bindings are not friendly when carrying the skis on shoulders - gonna make some kind of wrapper for them - maybe another use for a neoprene knee sleeve.

I often ski in deep snow (off-piste/out of bounds) and also enjoy barrelling down the mountain in the US and Austria. These are great all-mountain skis that stay afloat in powder and yet grip the mountain for carving turns. With the suggested binding, they are a bit heavy to carry on my shoulder (for those times I don't want to strap onto my backpack)...especially compared to my husband's (same skis) which have a touring binding. These were definitely a step up from my Rossignol Bandits.

Great mid-fat ski for on and off piste. Cuts through crud and carves well on ice and slush. Not as dampened as some, but great all around.
