The Contact utilizes Autodrive Fluid Ultimate, which is a composite and rubber arm that extends from the binding plate forward connecting to the bi-material sidewalls for quick and precise turn initiation. The rubber booster stores energy from the turn and produces rebound at the end of the turn. Dual density vertical sidewalls add to the skiing experience by ensuring ultimate edge grip, power and balance.
Construction
Dynastar’s own personal Autodrive construction, a vertical construction under the foot and cap constructions at the extremities. The cap allows the ski to enter the turn with comfortable ease. Vertical sidewalls provide superior edge hold and power. The ratio of cap/sidewall can be changed depending on models performance level or intended use. The core is surrounded by multiaxial fiber wraps or multiaxial layers that enhance torsional stiffness which equals stability and rebound energy.
