Dynastar 6th Sense Slicer Skis 2011: If you are looking for a ski that will always hold up from cliff to bowl to crud, the Dynastar 6th Sense Slice Skis will fulfill all your wildest dreams. This is a big mountain twin tip that absolutely destroys in the powder, but will still hold up ultra well on hardpack thanks to the traditional camber that still exists underfoot – known for giving you the easy ability to maneuver in those tight spots. Don’t make compromises when you can have it all.
Shape
Slow rise rocker in the tip and tail allow skiers to maneuver effortlessly and float in powder and variable snow, making backcountry skiing a buttery new experience. The more traditional underfoot camber still allows the ski to be powerful and easy to rip in any condition or terrain.
Construction
Full length race department vertical sidewalls are used for ultimate edge grip, power and balance. The core is surrounded by multiaxial fiber wraps that enhance torsional stiffness which equals stability and rebound energy.
Flex
Features a Spring Blade wood core that is machined to varying thicknesses in addition to different length fiberglass laid in the tail to act as a spring and provide superior “pop”, and to absorb any landing shock. A wood core gives the best flex patterns to maximize power and provide complete stability and versatility.
Binding Compatibility
Requires a wide brake binding with a brake width between 100mm to 110mm.

These skis are so good. They are very responsive and turn fast. They hold the on groomers and are even great in icy conditions. They make me ski and feel like a rock star!! (relative to my former sliding around)

Comments about Dynastar 6th Sense Slicer Skis 2011:

The Slicer is a solid & versatile ski that can carve on hard pack & ski well enough in pow for it's size.I ski it as my everyday ski here in the Sierras. The Slicer has a firmer flex pattern tip & mid section so it's pretty good in hard snow, as I stated, but it does not have super floatation. Having said that, at 145 lbs., I have never had tip dive even in deep pow. I actually find that after a big dump the Slicer skis best after the snow gets tracked out due to it's firm nature. It has a smaller progressive rocker tip & tail to give it more of an "old school"feeling, meaning you'll want to ski it somewhat aggressively with weight forward rather than with some of the more "surfy" big rocked skis out there. In a word, this ski wants to turn & when skied aggressively does so, it is not a" slarver".A solid ski. Have fun!
