Atomic Patent Skis 2011: The ability to fly isn’t a question of physics. It’s a question of attitude. And here’s the answer- The Atomic Patent Skis. When patrol drops the ropes on the big-boy booters, tak these for a lap in the park and feel the pop. Click into the symmetrical Patents above the pipe or rail yard and get a license to create with head, hands, and feet. Switch 2s and change-ups become works of art while that masterpiece double cork 9 is on the next lap, waiting to be stomped.
Shape
Traditional camber construction allows for added edge hold on hardpack and stability at high speeds

Waist: 95mm (all sizes)

Comments about Atomic Patent Skis 2011:

The ski itself performs like a dream. Atomic's notoriously sharp edges grip ice with an iron fist, and at the same time will plow through the deep stuff. The symmetrical design makes bombing through crud switch incredibly easy.

The ski itself is impressively light for how wide it is, and the swing weight is equally as impressive. The wide platform of the ski makes the Patent a monster on jumps. The ski is a bit flexy however, so if you're looking to hit bigger jumps than most people, get a size longer. The 184 is relatively stiff for my weight/height (5'9", 165lbs) so it is stable on the jumps.

The only serious gripe I have is the durability of the ski on rails. If you're looking for a jump ski, look no further. If you're looking for a rail ski, DO NOT BUY THE PATENT. After 2 days of rail skiing on these skis, I had more than 5 edge cracks on one edge. Atomic uses fairly thin edges, so these things do not hold up on rails at all. Although the ski performs insanely well, I'm extremely concerned about premature edge tear outs, which are certainly on their way.

Comments about Atomic Patent Skis 2011:

So much energy and so much fun. This ski blew me away, I have only skied centered mounted skis as of late and this ski was awesome. Completely symmetrical, a versatile 95mm in the waist, with tons of pop and super stable. I want a park ski that is fun, energetic and lively. I want it to be soft and flexible to nollie and press but still stable skiing switch out of big jump at high speed. I just found my new park ski.

Comments about Atomic Patent Skis 2011:

Light, stable, poppy, all of the above define Atomic's Patent skis. Bombs through crud, floats through powder, yet soft enough to butter your way through the park. The 95mm waist is a perfect platform for stomping big airs in both the park and the slackcountry. A true one-ski quiver that won't let you down in any conditions.
