The Atomic Nomad Crimson Ski Package is an absolute all mountain ripper. This ski features Atomics Torsion and Flex Control (TFC). The innovation of TFC shaves excess weight in the tip and tail, and creates forgiving flex zones. Yet the Atomic Nomad’s nano-reinforced backbone puts a stranglehold on twisting so Nomads go where you point them, and deliver the unique edge control that is Atomics’ hallmark. The average Atomic Nomad is 1.5 pounds lighter (20%) than yesterday’s shapes. Imagine not having to fight an extra 1.5 pounds over the course of the entire ski vacation. On today’s Nomads, you’ll ski longer without getting tired, turn easier and feel more confident. The sidecut represents an ideal compromise between turning and stability. Most Nomads ski shorter making for even easier handling. The Crimson has the most float of the Nomad Clan with a 86mm waist. The Atomic Nomad Crimson Ski is the ultimate western mid fat.

Comments about Atomic Nomad Crimson Skis + NEOX 4.12 Bindings 2008:

Great cruising ski, but with all the deep powder we are getting here in the NW I recommend moving the tow/heel back to get more flotation. Centered they nosedive in 20"+ of dry powder. Not the best Mt. Baker ski.

Comments about Atomic Nomad Crimson Skis + NEOX 4.12 Bindings 2008:

These are great a great ski for an intermediate to advanced skier. They are fairly lightweight and are easy to turn and cut the snow. They are a little bulkey in real powder conditions.

Comments about Atomic Nomad Crimson Skis + NEOX 4.12 Bindings 2008:

I've skied these for a week in icy conditions in Marmot Basin and their performance was woeful. These skis just do not grip in icy conditions or on hard pack which is very disappointing given Atomic's reputation . They are also quite unstable even at moderate speeds. Following a week at Marmot I hit some great powder in Panorama and Kicking Horse. Even in 5cm of freshies these skis transform into a magical experience.

Bottom line if there's no fresh snow you're way better off pulling out the Metrons or save yourself the frustration and buy a pair of AC40's then you really will have an all mountain ski.
