Product Details

Shape

All Mountain Rocker: for all-mountain skiers seeking ultimate versatility, providing maximum support in soft snow on any terrain, convincing carving characteristics as well as stress-free drifting on-piste

Flotation with 15% tip rocker / 85% camber

Construction

Lite Wood Core: an ultra-lightweight wood core reduces overall weight.

The sidewall construction provides optimum cushioning and edge grip

Titanium Mega Grip delivers maximum edge grip thanks to high torsional rigidity below the binding and scores top marks in pullout tests.

Dimensions

18m @ 164cm 128/95/117, 19m @ 173cm 130/95/119, 20m @ 182cm 132/95/121

Additional Features

Step Down Sidewall: the extremely durable sidewall construction below the binding improves damping, shock absorption, and therefore edge grip. Half-cap construction at the tip and tail protects the ski from mechanical damage.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

Comments about Atomic Drifter Skis 2013:

Light enough to tour far, damp and carvy enough for glacier ice. Not quite up to a true rocker ski for the worst heavy snow, but eats everything short of that.

These skis are great for powder but are really too big to use effectively in the moguls.

I have not used these Drifters yet but upon my first look they seem very well constructed and are slightly stiff.
