Atomic Blog Skis 2011: The Atomic Blog Ski was born for going big. Its super-floaty 110mm waist and powder-munching rocker design crave fields and spines steep enough to make a stunt pilot giddy. A tip-to-tail wood core provides a stable, responsive flex and traditional camber underfoot maximizes edge hold and pop. The rockered tip and tail ease upward for flotation in the deep stuff, and a unique step-down sidewall construction places a half-cap construction at the tip and tail for durability and impact resistance. The graphic is just as mind-blowing with lightning-inspired electricity streaks and hypnotic striations.

  • Core and Flex Pattern:Tip-to-tail Wood core gives you a predictable flex all day long and for seasons to come.
  • Construction:Pop Rocker 10 technology puts rocker in the tip and tail for optimal floatation in the powder whether you’re riding regular or switch. Traditional camber underfoot provides enhanced edge grip, maximum pop, and an overall better performance on hardpack. Step Down Sidewall construction in the binding area improves impact resistance and durability, and half-cap construction in the tip and tail protects the ski from mechanical damage.
  • Shape:With a 100mm (for size 177cm) or 110mm waist (for size 185cm), the Atomic Blog is a versatile ski capable of anything you lay in front of it
  • Binding Compatibility:Binding brakes should be at least as wide as the ski waist width, no more than 15mm wider.

Comments about Atomic Blog Skis 2011:

Not my favorite ski I got to demo in March of '09. Essentially a smaller Bent Chetler with a larger turn radius, not sure how that happened. The thing about the Blog is that it'll get you down the mountain just fine, without flying out from under you, however it just not as fun as some of the other skis on the market. Not enough pop for my taste. Maybe it was the way the I was positioned on the ski, but I felt uncomfortable riding backwards. The Blog is kind of like the internet, fun at first, but if you're on it too long it gets old real fast.

Comments about Atomic Blog Skis 2011:

This ski changed the way I look at the mountain. They are responsive through variable conditions, they float like head on beer, and they carve. My only complaint is that they are a little soft for my flavor; nothing is perfect, but the Blogs are pretty close.

Comments about Atomic Blog Skis 2011:

The Blog was everything I imagined and more. Super stable at high speeds, light and poppy. This ski has so much energy and plowed through everything. It's ideal for someone looking for a soft snow ski that wants something to ski back to the lift. Sure there are wider skis but this ski rips on the hard pack equally well. I would consider it along with a JJ or an S7 but with a bit more snap and pop.

Comments about Atomic Blog Skis 2011:

Got a chance to ski many of the 2012 skis from Atomic and Salomon. The Blog was my favorite of the all mountain skis that I got on. It was incredibly damp, handled the 12-18" of powder effortlessly, and skied the wet hard moguls with ease even at high speed. The only drawback I can come up with is that it performed better at speed, but since that is the only way I know how to ski, they will definitely be in the quiver next year. If you are new to powder skiing and want a ski that handles incredibly well at slower speeds in powder give the Atomic Access a try. I have never seen a ski that you can effortlessly turn at 5 mph in powder before, till I took the Access for a spin.

Great all around resort ski. Good float, quick in tight trees, carves a nice turn on the groomer. Bought this for a versatile all around ski for soft EC days and everyday West ski.

These skis are overall quite awesome! but when i get into some day or two old snow thats a bit skied out and a little choppy i find they have a bit of a hard time responding to turns. In untouched these skis pop, float, turn and shred better than anything! Just a little picky ski is all i would say, other than that THEY ARE AMAZING! awesome graphics too.

Comments about Atomic Blog Skis 2011:

This ski is loads of fun. Takes a little more effort to rail turns on groomers but its 110 under foot. The ski turns like a super small ski but is still very stable at speed. I have 4 rides on them so far and they keep putting a grin on my face. My favorite part about them is how predictable they turn. You can hook up really well or do loose turns and kick some snow up. On moguls you can launch from one to the next. I can't recommend this ski enough. It is such a blast even when there is no pow. This ski eats rough, bumpy and sketchy terrain without thinking twice. It makes you confident and makes you want to push the ski harder and harder. This ski is for all those aggressive skiers out there. Oh and mount them in the team setting it rides a lot nicer. Also nice and cheap!
