Armada AR6 Skis 2010: You’re a budding park maestro and could make logs with bindings perform off hits and jibs right? You couldn’t possibly require something fancy like the Armada AR6, a ski that combines pop and durability with such a deft touch that a ripper like you might not even notice. Of course, you might notice when you’re able to carve icy early morning takeoffs without feeling chatter. And you might notice that the S7 Base accelerates on snow even after a season of riding rails. And when you realize the AR Core 1 combines with the carbon and Kevlar tail stringer to generate insane pop, you’ll probably notice. Still, you can destroy the park on your old boards, so why would you need the AR6? To take your park skiing to the next level, that’s why.

  • Core and Flex Pattern:AR 1: Three high density wood laminates have been redistributed to lower swing and overall weight while adding even more strength. Snappy, grippy and responsive. Flexy in the tips, rigid underfoot.
  • Construction:ABS: Provides unequaled edge hold, core protection, and added stability. 2.5 Impact Edge: This edge exists for one reason – it’s durable. Designed to resist breaking and tearing out from rocks, rails and another abuse it might meet. S7 Base: Incorporates a new gliding additive for increased speed and minimal maintenance. Also has higher quality transparency which better displays the digitally printed base graphics.
  • Shape:Standard taper, moderate waist and sidecut for versatility and reliability
  • Binding Compatibility:Requires brake width of at least 80mm

Comments about Armada AR6 Skis 2010:

The AR6 has been my go to park ski for the past four years; ever since it replaced the AR5 in Armada's product line. The sidecut and width underfoot on the AR6 makes it a mobbing machine. The playful flex allows the ski to be functionally utilized for butters, ollies, nollies, presses, etc. in the park, but also provides enough stability for smashing outside of the terrain park on diverse snow conditions. Not many other park skis offer this type of versatility...

Comments about Armada AR6 Skis 2010:

The AR6 is an all-round great ski. Excellent in the park and pipe, fun around the mountain, and fantastic switch. The skis sidecut and lightweight make carving super easy and gives the ski the ability to slay anywhere the user takes it. My only gripe, however, is the stiffness of the tail. Although the relative softness of a ski is a matter of personal preference, I find that the AR6 has a remarkably stiff tail that limits its playfulness in terms of butters and presses. Fortunately, given the flex pattern of the ski, the tip does not have this issue and is relatively soft given the characteristics of the tail. On the other hand, however, such a tail gives the ski great pop and great stability. If one tends to land backseat when hitting jumps, the AR6's tail will help his or her problem by preventing the rider from losing his or her skis from under him or her and allowing them to ride away the trick smoothly. All in all, the ski is a great by for the serious skier and I highly recommend it.

Comments about Armada AR6 Skis 2010:

This is a great ski hands down. It's got great pop and let's you play as hard as you want. The graphics are pretty far out and I get a lot of comments on them. Go to Armada's website to read up on the artists. It's a great Mid-West ski since we don't get a ton of powder, but can handle up to about a foot. If you're in Michigan it's great for All-Mountain and park too. Just dial in your bindings accordingly. Sweet.
