Armada ANT Skis 2010: Despite all the interesting design concepts floating around powder skis these days, Armada has come a long way on good ol’ bomber fat skis. Anthony Boronowski couldn’t agree more, which is why his signature ski is built to do one simple thing: haul ass in the backcountry. The Armada ANT translates power directly, and the superfat shovel plows through the uncut snow no matter how fluffy or wind-beaten it is. Basically, the Armada ANT can handle any terrain you throw at it like a tank, without weight as much as a tank.
Binding Compatibility – Requires brake width of at least 100mm
Core and Flex Pattern – Ultra Light Core: Sustainable wood creates the lightest core available. The combination of hard-to-find, high-density, and low-weight woods eliminates unwanted weight while providing an exceptionally smooth ride. Stiffer than a dead body.
Construction – ABS: Provides unequaled edge hold, core protection, and added stability.1.7 Impact Edge: Light and smaller for backcountry-oriented skis, AR 50 Sidewall Construction: Enhanced edgehold and significantly lowered swing and overall weight. 50/50 Base: This die-cut blend of two base materials is common ground. It is faster than S7, but it doesn’t require the maintenance of the Comp Series base
Shape – Wide waist, huge shovel, not a lot of sidecut – planks in the true sense of the word.
