4FRNT MSP Skis 2011: Steep trees, afternoon bumped out groomers, big tables, lunch and then back out there, powder stashes and home runs. If you rip the entire resort, occasionally take off work for powder days, and ski like every day is your last, then you’ll love the 4FRNT MSP Skis. Matt Sterbenz designed and redesigned this ski around the resort lifestyle and the race for freshies. Dual turn radius, wide and stable shapes make this your ski, open to close, day in and day out.

Construction
Deflect ABS sidewalls have ABS premium blend material, stiff and supportive to maximize edge grip. Tri bevel finish supports performance and protects against topsheet chipping. The Q-45 Weave allows skis to respond well to variable snow conditions, high speeds and hard riding. 4FRNT’s GLOSSTOP topsheet material is the ultimate top foil. The crystal clear glossy finish makes the graphics pop off the ski with brilliant color, while the 45° edge bevel minimizes chipping. GLOSSTOP scratch resistant surface defends against scrape marks and helps to keep your skis looking crisp and clean throughout the winter. The fully wrapped edge provides perimeter support for the skis tip and tail when in daily use around the mountain and during transport.
Flex
Megablock core is made of Ash and Beech to create the most dense and damp core composition used for all mountain dominance. The X4 Dampening system is a full perimeter layer of elastometric rubber foil that is laminated between the metal edge, fiberglass and wood core. The X4 system creates unmatched stability and a smooth ride, especially at high speeds.

Good... but not great.

Comments about 4FRNT MSP Skis 2011:

I'd stay away from the 4FRNT MSP skis unless you only like to ski groomers. The tail is pretty stiff and hard to maneuver through bumps and crud. They are also pretty narrow and have no rocker which is nice for groomed runs but not very much fun anywhere else on the hill. I'd go with something a little wider with rocker for all mountain skiing.

Comments about 4FRNT MSP Skis 2011:

I'll be looked down upon for saying this, but I have days where I just want to go to the resort, stay in-bounds, and have fun with my friends. I can't think of a better ski to ride on for those days.

These skis are "pretty good" in the park, on moguls, on groomers, chop, trees, stashes of powder, anything. They're light and fun to ride on. Stiff enough for speed, but soft enough to flex.

I don't have a one ski quiver, but I don't want to have 10 skis either - which is why I like my MSPs

An every day ski

Comments about 4FRNT MSP Skis 2011:

I got on this ski and instantly felt like it didn't have a top end. It felt like a GS ski just a wider body and a bit more forgiving. with skis getting wider and wider some park skis have become similar in shape to the MSP. Rest assured, this is as all-mountian as they come. So stable, in all terrain; groomers, pow, junk, wind blown crust, whatever. They go where you wanna go and blow through anything in the way.
