Scott RS-12 Ski Poles 2011: Performance is what the Scott RS-12 Ski Poles are all about. Made out of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, this is the strongest commercial available pole in the world. Not only will it never break or bend, its light weight and comfortable to hold for the ultimate pole experience. Trust me; chances are good you’ll never want to use another pole.
Shaft
S4 Aluminum Alloy Shaft Series are constructed with the strongest commercially available, aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, and are twice as strong as the industry standard, rated to 75,000 PSI. All Series 4 poles are designed to meet the demands of World Cup competition.
Grip
The Notch Strike Grip has been anatomically engineered using soft thermoplastic rubber and polypropylene. The lightweight, streamlined profile facilitates the wrist articulation necessary for a textbook downhill tuck or grab.
Straps
Strike straps are ergonomically engineered for right and left hand grips. They also feature a neoprene platform for increased hand support and a Velcro fastener for easy adjustment.
Baskets
The 3.6 Disc Baskets incorporate a high standard of engineering and design, blending aerodynamic efficiency and durability. The 3.6 disc basket is 6 centimeters in diameter.

    Bought these poles based on the light weight decription. They lived up to their review! I almost didn't realize I was skiing with poles as they are so light. I skied 5 days in a row and had no arm fatigue as I have in the past with other poles. They are light weight and easy to use for turns. I'd definately recommend them to anyone looking to ski for an extended period of time.
