Comments about Leki Mountain Lite Carbon Ski Poles 2011:

I've been a big fan of Leki for years.
I researched all of the touring poles out there, and know that Leki has the strongest Twist Lock system that you can find... given that it isn't a "flip lock" style, which all do have their shortcomings, it's a great pole.
I saw the review from another customer about the baskets being "sloppy"... they are designed that way, a Leki customer service rep told me. It prevents the twist lock from coming loose every time a pole is planted and the basket grips the snow.
These blow all the competition away in performance and strength!

Comments about Leki Mountain Lite Carbon Ski Poles 2011:

THeese poles are almost good. The locking mechanism inside is very touchy. They get so hard to spin loose sometimes you need a wrench. The baskets are loose and sloppy. I have added washers to baskets so they don't spin like a pin wheal.
don't buy unless you want to be frustrated in the backcountry.

Comments about Leki Mountain Lite Carbon Ski Poles 2011:

Being 6'7" is is difficult to find the right poles. 54" are too short. Once these showed in the Outlet, I figured I would try them for the great price. They work great. Very stong and light!
