Used foe down hill good flex if you fall light weight.they look great just like the name said barber poles has a red whit and blue twist that goes all the way down. Has a sticker on the top half with a bloody straight razor on it with "fresh Cuts" and "a little off the top is all" looks great. All in all i recommend.

Comments about K2 Barber Ski Poles 2013:

These poles are different from others I have bought, since they are composite. The composite poles have some flex in them, which is strange to get used to but doesn't affect skiing at all. So far they haven't been landed on and bent (I've skiied 4-5 times with them), which is what happened to the last pair of aluminum poles. The wrist straps are velcro, which makes it easier than the plastic pull-tab kind I've had before, but not as easy as the Line grip tab velcro wrist straps. On clearance, these are the perfect poles for skiing at some east coast mountains!
