K2 Automatic Ski Poles 2009: Because they get bent, lost in the deep pow, or fall into a black hole from the chair lift (we won’t name names here), sometimes the best option is the simplest, and cheapest, and so K2 created the Automatic ski poles. An affordable and stylish option perfect for the recreational or accident prone skier, the Automatic Ski Poles won’t break the bank, so the next time you misjudge the placement of a tree and wreck your poles it won’t be a total disaster!

As is mentioned in the product description, these poles are made for those who bend break or otherwise de-face their poles throughout the season. Nothing special - they just get the job done. Who wants to buy expensive "pretty" poles when we know we will turn them into a question mark dropping a cliff? (Or on an unsuspecting lift chair).
    Overall a good buy.

One note to K2 - I know they are cheap poles, but the grips could use some work.

I just bought these for my trip out to vail. they are what i expected to get for [$] they look pretty cool but the grips are a little bit cheap, and the straps arent easy to adjust with one hand or with gloves on. i still like the product because of the value. they are worth the price and no more.

Cheap, light weight, and comfortable grip. Gets the job done.

Wrist straps fall apart too easily. Solution: use rubber band to prevent them from slipping apart.

Comments about K2 Automatic Ski Poles 2009:

Not a bad pole at all, and it's super cheap. Bent it a couple times, only cuz i suck and I end up using my poles as brakes. If you snowboard like me but like to mess around on skis and need some poles, go for it.
