      I am going to use these for a little bit of summer glacier hiking, snowshoeing with my board. Only been out once but enjoy the feel and stiffness of these poles. Got them discounted as well which was great but was hoping they would collapse more so when I strap them to my bag and board down the mountain they won't be jabbing way out there.

          I gave these to my mom for Christmas and she loves them. They are great for uphill climbing with a really easy to use flip switch to readjust them for the down. She has taken them to the resort, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and touring. However, when extended, the lower part of the pole bends quite a bit which makes me wonder a little about it's durability. Overall, I'd say if you are interested in ripping the downhill as fast as possible these probably aren't the poles for you. But if you are just out there to enjoy the day whether you're going up or down, these are a great buy.
