The Völkl RTM 81 Skis + iPT Wide Ride 12.0 Bindings are designed for the advanced to expert level skier who sticks mainly to the frontside of the mountain and prefers a more traditional width ski. Dual XTD Transmission Sidewalls let these things grip the groomed like a Doberman on the mailman's leg, and soak up chatter like a sponge with the "Powered by Steel" metal laminate layer.

Rocker Type
ELP Full Rocker – Völkl matches the sidecut and flex of the ski perfectly to give it a smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail. This results in easy maneuverability in tight spaces and soft snow, but enables the skier to gain full edge contact when the ski is put on edge. Full Rocker skis have a slightly stiffer tip and softer mid-body to give you bomber stability, uncanny smoothness and easy turn initiation in one package.

Extended Sensorwood Core – Created with a sophisticated CNC milling process, Extended Sensorwood cores create vertical ridges to form the understructure of the Dual XTD Transmission shape.
Laminates
Powered by Steel – A metal layer just under the topskin delivers dampness and power at speed.
Sidewalls
Dual Extended Transmission Sidewalls – Dual XTD (Extended) Transmission construction features reinforcement channels over the edges and sidewalls of the ski for improved edgehold and less chatter.

The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries. All-Mountain All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
