The Völkl RTM 80 Skis + iPT Wide Ride 12.0 Bindings package is perfectly suited for advanced skiers who desire smooth, effortless on-piste carving. Its Dual XTD Transmission Sidewall, steel layer and full rocker work in harmony to provide excellent edge control for hard carves and superior stability and smoothness in variable snow conditions. Equipped with iPT Wide Ride 12.0 Bindings, these skis are a great option for experienced all-mountain skiers.
Rocker Type
Full Rocker - A smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail, with matching sidecut and flex. Extended Low Profile (ELP) gives the skier all the benefits of added maneuverability in soft snow while also delivering smooth, graceful arcs on groomed terrain. By matching the flex and sidecut with the full rocker profile, the skier gains full, uninterrupted edge contact. The more you put the ski on edge, the more effective the edge becomes. The resulting smoothness and predictability is truly uncanny.

Core
Extended Wood Core - The Extended (XTD) Wood Core is used in XTD Progressive constructions. More forgiving than the Extended Sensorwood Core, it consists of a solid central section that extends toward the tip and tail.
Laminates
Powered by Steel - A thin layer of steel provides excellent torsional rigidity and stability on choppy snow.
Sidewalls
Dual XTD Transmission - Dual Extended Transmission construction has a similar profile to the sidewall construction of the RTM 84, yet is more forgiving and softer in its feel. It delivers the necessary power for precise edgehold but is accessible to more than just expert skiers.

Included Bindings
iPT Wide Ride 12.0 D Bindings - DIN 4-12 / Triple Pivot Elite Toe / Inter Pivot Heel
Bindings Do Not Come Mounted to Skis - Always have a certified binding technician mount and adjust your bindings.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Carving
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
    Carving
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
Rocker (also called reverse-camber) is just as it sounds – camber turned upside down. Rocker skis have a side profile with a smooth downward curvature and a contact point at the middle of the ski. Rocker skis excel in deep powder. This profile provides the skis with less tip and tail hang up to prevent from catching edges and allows the skis to initiate turns extremely quickly. This profile doesn’t perform as well in icy conditions or on harder snow but if you spend lots of time in deep, untracked snow and like a more playful ski, Rocker is a great choice.
  • Turning Radius: Medium
  • Core/Laminates: Metal, Wood
  • Tail Type: Partial Twin Tip
    Partial Twin Tip
Partial twin tip skis have a tail that is turned up, but not as much as the tip. This gives you the ability to ski backwards and back out of tight spaces, but these skis are mainly designed to ski forward.
