Salomon Shogun Skis + Z12 Demo Bindings - Used 2012

Your everyday freeride ski is here. The Salomon Shogun Skis + Z12 Demo Bindings are one ski to do it all with 350 mm of rocker length in the tip for some flotation when it's powdery, a 97 mm waist, and traditional camber underfoot so it hooks up on the groomers, skis the crud, and is quick enough for the bumps or park. A bamboo layer livens it up while basalt fibers and a full wood core dampen it down and keep it stable.
Rocker Type
All-Terrain Rocker - Gives you fluid terrain absorption, quality performance on groomers, easy and progressive turning, and all the precision you can muster
Semi Twin Tip tail increases the snow contact and stability at high speeds.
Core
Full Wood Core - A full wood core offers optimum stability on snow and powerful rebound while maximizing the ski to snow contact and filtering vibrations.
Bamboo Layered Reinforcement - A thin layer of bamboo is added to the core to fine tune the flex and pop of the ski.
Laminates
Dual Monocoque - Layers of fiberglass and other woven materials are used to add rigidity and liveliness to the ski.
Pulse Pad - A layer of rubber along the edges and in certain zones of the ski creates a smoother ride and improved ski-snow contact.
Edges
Edge Armor - Edge Armor incorporates an extremely durable polyethylene fiber cord cross-laced between the edges of the skis to increase the strength for less edge depression and wrenching.
Oversized Edges - Wide Edges are thicker for increased durability and improved shock resistance.
Total Edge Reinforcement - Total Edge Reinforcement has a fiber directly on the edges providing edge stiffness for improved durability and grip.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Medium
  • Core/Laminates: Bamboo, Wood
  • Tail Type: Full Twin Tip
    Full Twin Tip
Desinged to allow you to ski backwards, full twin tips are found primarily on park & pipe skis and freestyle powder skis. More and more, we are seeing twin tips on all-mountain skis of all abilities, as it makes it a little easier to get around, and for the most part does not inhibit forward skiing.
