Rossignol Pursuit HP Skis + Bindings - Sample 2013

Looking for a ski that won’t quit when you’re railing the hardpack? Look no further, the Rossignol Pursuit HP Skis + The Axial2 140 Ti TPI2 Bindings are designed for dedicated frontside skiers who love to hook up and carve. A subtle Power Turn Rocker in the front 10% of the ski aids in maneuverability and turn initiation, while Oversize Sidecut gives your turns power and precision. *This is a new sample product used only for show. It has never been used but may have slight cosmetic wear from transit.*
Rocker Type
Power Turn Rocker - A classic high camber underfoot delivers power and edge grip for groomed run performance while storing energy and providing explosive snap and boost. 10% subtle tip rocker facilitates quick turn initiation.
Sidecut
Oversized Sidecut - Provides strong edging, power and precision, while a wider waist dimension increases stability and ease of turn initiation
Core
Wood/Titanium core
Laminates
VAS Complex - Titanium stringers woven into basalt fibers provide lighter alternative to full metal laminates. VAS removes vibrations, providing increased stability and dampness without adding weight.
H Technology - A split in the metal laminate at tip and tail allows for torsional flex at the extremities of the ski for smooth turn initiation and improved full-edge contact.
Sidewalls
Traditional sandwich construction with vertical sidewalls creates direct edging pressure while the core and linen fiber/fiberglass laminates provide flex and stability.
Additional Features
IPS Diamond - Concave profile makes sidewall higher to apply even greater pressure to edge as well as reducing weight by 100 g per pair.
Included Bindings
Bindings Do Not Come Mounted to Skis - Always have a certified binding technician mount and adjust your bindings.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Carving
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
    Carving
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Medium
  • Core/Laminates: Metal, Wood
  • Tail Type: Flat
    Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
