Kastle LX 82 Skis + Tyrolia SP 120 Demo Bindings - Used 2012

Shop all Kastle
Light, nimble and precise, the Kȁstle LX 82 Skis + Tyrolia SP 120 Demo Bindings are perfectly suited to technical skiers who stick mainly to the groomed with an occasional jaunt into the powder. Kȁstle's new Hollowtech technology keeps this light ski smooth and damp by reducing mass in the tip area and allowing the ski to return to its original shape more quickly after an impact. The ultra lightweight silver fir core, 0.5 mm Titanal base and top sheet laminates, and legendary Kȁstle quality are all part of a package you'll be stoked to have on your feet.
Rocker Type
Standard Camber - Traditional camber underfoot for the best in edgehold and stability
Single Radius Sidecut
Fast Grip Shovel - The widest point of the shovel is ahead of the contact point and hooks up instantaneously when the ski is put on edge, but maintains a forgiving ride the rest of the time.
Hook Free Tail - Rounded tail shape helps you butter turns at will and choose the turn radius you want.
Wood Core - Kästle uses super light silver fir for the core with a cap construction and Titanal laminates above and below the wood for the utlimate in light but damp performance.
Titanal Laminates - Layers of Titanal on both sides of the core contribute to strength, dampness and power.
Rubber Edge Dampening - A thin layer of rubber just under the edges cushions you from chatter.
Sintered Graphite Base

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Carving
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for skis offering skiers lots of edge hold, especially on harder snow. A cambered ski has a smooth arch underfoot and contact points near the tip and tail when unweighted. Camber skis excel at carving on hard snow; you won’t ever see a ski racer on anything other than cambered skis.
  • Turning Radius: Medium
  • Core/Laminates: Metal, Wood
  • Tail Type: Partial Twin Tip
    Partial Twin Tip
Partial twin tip skis have a tail that is turned up, but not as much as the tip. This gives you the ability to ski backwards and back out of tight spaces, but these skis are mainly designed to ski forward.
