K2 Superific Skis + Marker ER3 10.0 Bindings - Women's 2013

With a forgiving flex and lightweight construction, the K2 Superific Skis with Marker ER3 10.0 Bindings make graceful turns through a variety of conditions a walk in the park. The BioFlex core will fill you with confidence and control without adding weight.
Shape
All-Terrain Rocker™ - Designed for all snow conditions, featuring an elevated tip and tail for variable and soft snow performance and camber underfoot for power, energy, and edgehold in firmer conditions.

Construction
BioFlex 1 Core - A combination of 80% dense Aspen underfoot fused with 20% lightweight Paulownia at the tip and tail to reduce weight with blended Bamboo throughout for added performance and durability.

Bindings
The K2 Superific Skis come with the Marker ER3 10.0 TC Bindings. The Marker K2/ER3 (Energy Response Plate) is designed for advanced and recreational skiers alike. The ER3 is also shorter and less stiff than the men’s system, allowing the ski flex to be smoother and reducing the weight by more than a half pound. This system utilizes a new 20% lighter Compact Toe and a fixed Compact2 Heel design to generate more power, precision and quickness underfoot.
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.
Additional Features
Lighter Weight Women’s-Specific Mod Technology - Places thickness and mass in the optimum location to absorb vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge hold, power, and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, leaving the overall ski flex unaffected.

Women’s Specific Mod Monic - A focused mass-dampener made of a solid zinc mass that focuses mass dampening at a targeted location on the Mod structure.

Included Bindings
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Carving
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
    Carving
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Short
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Flat
    Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
