K2 SuperFree Skis + Marker ER3 10.0 Bindings - Women's 2013

The K2 SuperFree Skis with Marker ER3 10.0 Bindings are designed for advanced to expert skiers to give them energy and control in a high performance package. Women can enjoy fine tuning their skills on or off trail with the All-Terrain Rocker™. There’s a reason the SuperFree returns as one of the most sought after skis in K2’s SuperModels series.
Shape
All-Terrain Rocker™ - Designed for all snow conditions, featuring an elevated tip and tail for variable and soft snow performance and camber underfoot for power, energy, and edgehold in firmer conditions.

Construction
BioFlex 2 Core - A combination of 70% dense Aspen core underfoot is fused with 30% lightweight Paulownia at the tip and tail to reduce swing weight with blended Bamboo throughout for strength and durability.

Triaxial Braiding - Consists of braiding fiberglass around the wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control, making the ski incredibly energetic and responsive.

Hybritech Sidewalls - A unique blend of sidewall and cap constructions that combine the accuracy, power, and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction.
Bindings
The K2 SuperFree Skis come with the Marker ER3 10.0 TC Bindings. The Marker K2/ER3 (Energy Response Plate) is designed for advanced and recreational skiers alike. The ER3 is also shorter and less stiff than the men’s system, allowing the ski flex to be smoother and reducing the weight by more than a half pound. This system utilizes a new 20% lighter Compact Toe and a fixed Compact2 Heel design to generate more power, precision and quickness underfoot.
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.
Additional Features
Lighter Weight Women’s-Specific Mod Technology - Places thickness and mass in the optimum location to absorb vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge hold, power, and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, leaving the overall ski flex unaffected.

Women’s Specific Mod Monic - A focused mass-dampener made of a solid zinc mass that focuses mass dampening at a targeted location on the Mod structure.

Included Bindings
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Carving
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
    Carving
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Short
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Flat
    Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
