Product Info

The K2 Rictor 90XTi Skis with MXC 14 Bindings are the next evolution in the Rictor series and bridge the gap between all-mountain and soft snow-specific freeride skis with their 90mm waist. Built with AT RoX Technology that focuses on combining the advantages of rocker with the power and integrity of K2's Mod structure and Carbon Web, the Richtor 90XTi provides unshakable hold and effortless turn initiation. The K2 Rictor 90XTi Skis with MXC 14 Bindings are a powerful setup built for shaking up steep and snowy landscapes.

Product Details

Rocker Type

All-Terrain Rocker™Directional design for all ability levels with added versatility and ease in all snow conditions. All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions. A flat tail gives you maximum edge contact for precision and edgehold.

Sidecut

Progressive SidecutProgressive sidecut is a combination of two different radii, or sidecuts, that enhance the versatility of wider-waist skis. Standard sidecut theory is based on using a single radius. This works well on narrower skis, but becomes overpowering on wider skis, especially in variable conditions. The use of progressive sidecut on wider-waist skis guarantees improved turn initiation and hard-snow performance.

Shape

Powder TipDesigned to be more predictable in soft snow conditions, these tips are designed to strike the perfect balance of maximizing float while reducing tip deflection. These tips are designed with a gentle arc and transition into the sidecut of the ski.

Tapered TipAll freeride skis come with a tapered tip design and lower profile to maximize tip predictability in softer snow conditions. Tips with this design have shifted the widest part of the contact further back to reduce tip weight and deflection in soft and variable snow conditions.

Core

Aspen / Paulownia / Maple

Laminates

RoX TechnologyRoX technology is a rocker-focused design philosophy that incorporates a lively wood core, Carbon Web for increased torsional rigidity, a MOD structure for dampness and Speed or All-Terrain Rocker for effortless but accurate carving.

Metal LaminateBuilt from the base up, a metal laminate construction consists of alternating layers of fiberglass and Titanal above and below the wood core. Metal laminates provide damp, accurate, unshakable performance, ideal for all-mountain skis.

Carbon WebCarbon Web enhances the strength-to-weight ratio, gaining downhill performance without adding additional mass. Located in the tail and the forebody of the ski, the Carbon Web increases edge grip where you need it most.

MOD TechnologyA secondary core that essentially acts as a suspension system quieting the ride of the ski but does not affect the overall flex of the ski.

Sidewalls

Hybritech SidewallHybritech is a unique blend of sidewall and cap constructions. This combines the accuracy, power, and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction.

Additional Features

K2 Tip Grommets/Skin ClipThe new freeride tip grommet is a low profile, clean and simple design that no longer requires a plug. The durable rubber coating disguises a slit designed to accommodate the Z clip for out skin attachments, or to build a rescue sled.

Z-Clip Skin Compatible

Included Bindings

Bindings Do Not Come Mounted to SkisAlways have a certified binding technician mount and adjust your bindings.

MXC 14 TC BindingsThe K2/Marker MXC 12 TC Binding system is K2's widest ski binding system, with a 54% wider attachment than K2's previous MX system; allowing for greater precision and control on wider-waisted All-Mountain skis. The MXC binding system incorporates zinc feet that extend toward the ski edge for the most accurate power transfer, resulting in improved edge hold. In addition to being wider, the binding stand height has been dropped by 12%, resulting in a 10% weight savings.

I ski: Aspen highland and snowmass. Big Sky MT. Whitefish. Cooper. Snowbird. Deer Valley. Tahoe and mammoth. Tried my friends 172's last year. They were a little short but great turner and floater. Flexible and controllable thur moguls. Great off the top and inthrough bowls, backcountry and trees.

    Comments about K2 AMP Rictor 90XTi Skis + MXC 14 Bindings 2014:

This is a great ski. Very stiff -- great at high speeds very stable. If you are in the bumps the stiffness makes you work for it. Good in powder -- not the best flotation but way better than most. Overall this ski is good for expert skiers (or at least people that think they are) that like to ride fast, with large sweeping turns.

This ski carves as well as a GS racing ski, plows through crud, floats through powder. It does it all, and does it all well.

Skis look great and came in mint condition as advertised. I have not skied them yet so I can't comment on their performance. Had the prior years model which is what I was looking for to save some money on a high quality product although I probably would have preferred the next size down for a little more quickness, it was not available, but I'm splitting hairs. Only 4 stars until I get to use them!
