K2 A.M.P. Stinger Skis + Marker M2 10.0 Bindings 2013

The K2 A.M.P. Stinger Skis are the perfect skis if you're just getting into skiing, or need to shake off half a decade of rust. Lightweight and nimble, the Stinger will have you darting around the mountain, building up your confidence until you're ripping runs like the best of them. Moreover, the K2 A.M.P. Stinger is paired with the Marker M2 10.0 Bindings, highly stable bindings that you can be confident will work with your ski.
Rocker Type
Catch-Free Rocker™ - The elevated tip and tail assures effortless turn initiation at slow speeds, stability throughout the turn, and a predictable release from the turn. To make a long story short, Catch-Free Rocker provides confidence, control, and ease for developing skiers.

Laminates
Glass Web - Enveloping he Mod structure in a secondary glass weave for additional torsional rigidity provides a more forgiving and versatile version of the Carbon Web.

Additional Features
Mod Technology - This is a high-performance suspension system that absorbs vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge hold, power, and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, leaving the overall ski flex unaffected.

Included Bindings
Marker M2 10.0 Bindings - This beginner to intermediate binding integrates with the M2 Plate for a more effective transfer of power from the boot to the ski for better control and confidence.
Bindings Do Not Come Mounted to Skis - Always have a certified binding technician mount and adjust your bindings.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as will as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
  • Core/Laminates: Composite
  • Tail Type: Partial Twin Tip
    Partial Twin Tip
Partial twin tip skis have a tail that is turned up, but not as much as the tip. This gives you the ability to ski backwards and back out of tight spaces, but these skis are mainly designed to ski forward.
