This is an excellent ski. I bought the 184cm. I am 6 foot and 240 lbs and I ski very fast. The only downfall for me was the ski was a little too soft for me, and got a little unstable at 50mph. If you are lighter and don't ski that fast these should be great. Very forgiving and easy to turn. Good on the groomed and light chop. A great value at this current price. Super smooth and stable. For my specs I went to the stiffer K2 Bolt, another excellent ski from K2.

I hate to leave a negative comment, but I had very high hopes from this ski and so far they simply have not impressed me in any way. Don't get me wrong : technically these are excellently built skis with superb bindings but that is about it. The skis are heavy and they simply don't let you go fast. They turn but not that easy. They carve but I never get a decent rebound. They hardly give you any feedback how they are cutting through the snow or not, they seem so sluggish. Sorry. I should have gone for the Bolt I guess...

Comments about K2 AMP Rictor 82 XTi Skis + MXC 12 Bindings 2015:

I'm 6'1 245 and the skis perform well in many conditions and
rolls. Best on piste but capable of skiing on fresh snowfall as well with the wide tip. The harder you set your edge the more they deliver. If you get lazy at speed they'll want to wash out and skid but if you lean in hard...wow.

If you ski over 40mph regularly, and I doubt you do, get a super GS ski. Why in the world would you buy this ski in the first place like one of the other reviewers stated. It'll handle that type of speed if you commit to the edge too. A lazy fast skier will was them out.

I've been in the demo'ing skis for the past three seasons and absolutely love these K2's. They stick to the mountain at high speeds and turns are effortless. Ice and crud are no problem, and 12" or less of powder is fun!

These skis will be used this season in Mammoth, Tahoe, and Utah. I can't wait!

I ordered these for my son. We received them just last week and it all looks good. Once he has a chance to ski on them, I can update this review. For now, I will say that the purchase from evo.com was successful. Everything arrived on time and was packed well. My son is excited to get on them, now all we need is some snow!!

I just received these skis today. The appearance and quality of the skis seem to be top notch. The value and service received from EVO was great. EVO had the best price on these skis. I have not had a chance to ski on them this season but will update my review once I do. I have rented demo skis for a while and decided to take the leap and buy my own. Based on other reviews these skis appear to be the best fit for my type and skier ability.

These K2 AMP Rictor 82 Xti's are AWESOME !! Great all mountain cruisers that have exceptional edge hold on
hardpack and very responsive on the groomers.
I rode them hard at Killington and Pico and I put them in my top 5 skis that I have ever skied.
Top notch boards for advanced intermediates to expert skiers.

I've only got 1 day in so far, but I know I'm going to love these. I'm 6' and 195 lbs and the 177cm models seem good from a sizing perspective. They are much more lively and more maneuverable that my old Apache Outlaws (181cm). The price was too hard to pass up even though I had to install the bindings but that was pretty easy to do if you're familiar with the setup and I even found a good posting online with pictures. Looking forward to taking these out west this weekend...

Have only been on them 1 day so far but liked them. They are fairly stiff. Used them in moguls and on cruising runs. Getting back into skiing after a long time off so not sure how they compare to other skies on the market.

Good solid ski for advanced skier. Depending on use I'd advise considering going shorter if the goal is quicker turns. I purchased the 184s and am 6'1" 200lbs. The 177s IMO would be better for moguls and other areas requiring quicker turns. I am happy with the skis overall. Advice to other buyers would be to keep in mind your intended use for the ski (majority of time spent).
