K2 A.M.P. Bolt Skis + Marker MX14.0 Bindings 2013

K2 A.M.P. Bolt Skis + Marker MX14.0 Bindings 2013: The flagship model for K2’s new ROX technology, the K2 A.M.P. Bolt Skis with Marker MX 14.0 Bindings are the ultimate carving instrument for medium to long GS turns with rock solid stability and hold at mach speed. The new ROX technology is the new standard for hard snow ski design with unshakable hold with the benefits of effortless turn initiation.
Shape
Speed Rocker™ - Designed for high performance precision and agility on firm snow. This slightly elevated tip and increased tip length provides effortless initiation and flawless transitions, while camber along the rest of the running surface delivers precision, power, and edge-hold.

Construction
Fir Core - Solid and dense wood known for its inherent strength and durability.
Carbon Web - Surrounds the Mod structure with carbon weaves. The carbon strands are laid at precise angles for additional levels of torsional rigidity, keeping the ski light, with additional torsional strength.

Metal Laminate - Consists of 2 sheets of lightweight Titanal running the length of the ski. Alternating layers of fiberglass and Titanal sandwich the wood core to provide dampened, accurate, and unshakable performance.
Bindings
The K2 A.M.P. Bolt Skis come with the Marker MX 14 bindings for an advanced skier. Working in conjunction with the integrated titanal hubs, the Marker K2/MX system provides unmatched precision and control. The system uses Marker’s Inter-Pivot Heel technology and lightweight Triple-Pivot Comfort MX toe. This toe comes with a crossmounted spring, stainless steel AFD, and backward release function.
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.
Additional Features
Mod Technology - This is a high-performance suspension system that absorbs vibrations and impact loads along the entire ski, providing stronger edge hold, power, and control. Mod is a secondary core that flexes and moves on top of the primary core, leaving the overall ski flex unaffected.

Mod Monic - A focused mass-dampener made of a solid zinc mass that focuses mass dampening at a targeted location on the Mod structure

Included Bindings
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.

  • Terrain: Carving
    Carving
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Medium
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Flat
    Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
  • Series: A.M.P.
  • Warranty: 1 Year
