This tried and true design provides full-length sidecut engagement for powerful and confident edge grip, easy turn initiation and effortless soft snow performance.

3D Wood Core ConstructionA thicker core profile at the edges provides powerful grip and energy transmission, while a milled center reduces weight for improved versatility and control.

Super FiberBasalt and Aramid fibers are woven into fiberglass for increased strength, rebound, and vibration dampening. What does this mean? Excellent stability and ski-snow contact for a smoother, faster ride - without the additional weight of metal laminates.

AutodriveVertical sidewalls are used underfoot to provide increased power and edge grip, while Cap construction toward the tip and tail allows simple, less aggressive turn entry and exit.

Comments about Dynastar Outland 80 XT Skis + NX 12 Fluid Bindings 2014:

First of all, the waist on this ski is 80mm, not 75mm underfoot as the description says!

I now have 19 days on these skis and feel I can review this ski with confidence. It is a terrific all mountain ski that can handle so many conditions. These skis are amazing on groomers, but they really come alive in the crud. If your resort has fast groomers but you want to explore the trees or 'less travelled lines', these will be handle both with ease. I can attest that they are great up to 3" of powder, but I haven't experienced them with more than that so far this year. I would guess they would be good up to 6" of powder, but after that you would probably want some fatter sticks with better float.

My final word on these skis would be playful-- they hold an edge beautifully but not so grabby that you have to worry about hooking a tip. Best for east coast/midwest skiers that are intermediate/advanced levels who want an all mountain ski that rips.
