Product Info

Atomic Savage Ti Skis + XTO 14 Bindings 2013: The Atomic Savage Ti Skis are all-mountain performance skis that are also capable of delivering sheer pleasure off-piste. Thanks to the Step Down Sidewall construction and additional titanium inserts, the skier's power is directly transferred to the slope, allowing the skier to control the ski with even greater precision. A 93 mm waist width allows the Savage Ti to deliver optimum lift, turning any foray in powder snow into an exhilarating adventure. The All Mountain Rocker further optimizes lift, while maximizing the effective edge length during edging on the slope. Vibrations and impacts are absorbed by the tip-to-tail wood core. The Savage Ti is ideal for athletic skiers who always like to be well equipped for both piste and powder.

Comments about Atomic Savage Ti Skis + XTO 14 Bindings 2013:

I'm 230lbs 3+- skier riding about 50/50 on-off piste. These are rare combination - OK carvers (but neighter snappy nor precise), definitely NOT a pow ski, and as stable as expected considering the fat waist on the ungroomed crud. Where these shine though is at the last run for the day charging hard on the empty slope - feels like they settle at high speed, flap goes away, flying thru the crud like its a fresh groomer. I'm going waaay faster then my comfort zone and they felt like "here we are". Wow!
In a way jack of all trades - but master of none - ski for the one who likes to charge hard and still wants the convenience of carving ski. Not an "expert" ski but not a spaghetti either. For my weight and style they do probably better than 4 star ...

Comments about Atomic Savage Ti Skis + XTO 14 Bindings 2013:

I ski raced from age 4 to 22 and primarily skied on Rossignol Slalom and Giant Slalom Skis, then moved to the Rossi Bandits. I gave these Skis to myself for Christmas but had to wait till we got more snow to try them..... Well, Hello to my new favorite ski of all time! The 3-day weekend and recent snowfall gave me the opportunity to really check out these babies and they are awesome! They carved beautifully down the icy steeps, floated blissfully through the Cascade Crud, and held firm cranking turns on the groomers at 40-50mph! All the "boys" were commenting on my new boards and even happier to hear that they were actually men's skis.... Thanks Atomic, from one happy ex-racer girl:)

Comments about Atomic Savage Ti Skis + XTO 14 Bindings 2013:

I bought these skis last year on recommendation of a friend who worked in the ski industry for many years. I was not disappointed. They are for physically strong skiers who want to be able to tear down the mountain in any conditions on a stable base. They make up for your mistakes. They are not ideal for short turning and are not the best choice on bumps as they are not a mogul ski. They do perform well enough on most surfaces. I would highly recommend this system, especially at this price. Whether out west or in New England, they will do the job.

Comments about Atomic Savage Ti Skis + XTO 14 Bindings 2013:

So far had one day at Taos and they handled the icy tracked over stuff on front side really well. New snow fell all day and I Followed along tree line to check out performance in some packed powder. They did not disappoint. Plan on checking out Big Sky soon and hope to have better feel for how good they are in some better conditions. Been skiing on and off for 35+ years and consider myself a strong 7-8 and expect to be back to a 9 with a few more trips this year. 197lbs, 5'10" 177cm. Have some 168s in another brand that always felt short so went with 177 in these. Could have gone either way. The 177s don't feel long and have good handling. Really nice in the crud. Just floats right over. For price they are hard to beat. Would like better bindings. XTO14 are easy to setup but lack some features of other binding systems.

Perform beautifully on ice/groom/powder. The most control I have ever had on skis as a moderately heavy/muscle bound/aggressive skier
