TL;DR ONLY BUY THESE IF YOU ARE A VERY PETITE PERSON.
My bf got these for me for valentines Day, great price! I agonized over ordering the XS. Even though I usually wear a 0 in jeans I was worried about space for layers. I am 5'3" and 100 lbs. I usually wear a 0/1 or 25/26 size jeans. These pants JUST fit me with my layers underneath. After the first day they got more comfortable and I also started wearing thinner layers (ie leggings and tight yoga/workout pants instead of sweatpants or loose fitting jeans). The pants do not go up as high as I am used to, they are about where my jeans button instead of at or above my bellybutton. To be comfortable your layers should go up to around your bellybutton so there aren't too many waistbands at your hips. Last week I used these for a 4 day trip at Killington in Vt and I think I had hip bruises from all of my layers digging in by Friday. I decided to keep the pants because they are a good deal, $100 off, and I plan on buying a Burton jacket in the future so the bib and pants will match. The wine color is sold out now, but I really like it! I stayed warm and dry (even with thinner layers) all week! I recommend these pants but I wish I could have sized up.

Thought the reviews mentioning this style running small would mean good sizing for me -- HOWEVER, I was wrong. These pants run incredibly small (and I don't think there is any flex on the waist). Not only is the waist smaller, the rise is VERY LOW. If that's what you're into, maybe it will work better for you, but it was very very uncomfortable for me.

Really too bad, because the color was gorgeous and I thought the material would have worked well on the slopes

Good matrial, design was good around the waist but a bit too tight around the thighs, think burton tried to be a little too tapered, otherwise would have been a higher rating

I bought these off of evo's outlet store so I got a great deal on them but I have to admit that i was really nervous about how they would fit after reading all of the reviews about how they run extremely small. Maybe the reviews were off, maybe i shrank, either way these felt great and stayed dry all day. I wills say that i probably wouldn't want them if they were any smaller or i was any bigger. For reference, I'm about 5'1" and wear a size 0/1 (25/26) pants. I am a runner too, so kind of big thighs and bubble butt. I had enough room to wear a liner under them and didn't have any mobility issues on the mountain or on the drive up. If you're not into feeling like you're a little kid in your mom's clothes, I would highly recommend these pants.

Comments about Burton Mosaic GORE-TEX® Pants - Women's:

This is my second pair of the Mosaic pants. I had the 2011 pair which I loved but had to retire as I had ripped the seams from sliding royally on ice. The material feels a little different from the 2011's; it seems more plasticky probably from it being a bluesign approved product--which uses recycled materials.

Waterproofing on these pants is excellent. I've never had to worry about water seeping through. As far as warmth, the Mosaic is not insulated so I wear a midweight baselayer underneath which works for me.

The best thing about these pants though is that they have a lifetime warranty. So when I ripped my old ones, I got credit to buy a new one from Burton.

If there was one thing I would complain about the 2014 Mosaic, it would be the the vent zippers. For some reason they go up much higher than the ones that were on my 2011 Mosaic (I'm 5' tall). But this doesn't really affect movability or functionality.

                But overall: great pants.

Love finding a shorter inseam length and a fit closer to your natural waist compared to most snow pants. They did great up at the Pass during two days of crazy snowfall. I stayed nice and dry!

Great quality pant, fitted but not tight, have been out in very wet weather and stayed dry. Unlined material cold on the butt when stuck on the lift, but I tend to run hot when on the slopes so I prefer unlined. If you run cold, recommend pairing with thicker long underwear.
