The Burton GMP 2L Fireside Pants are part of Burton's new line of eco-friendly outerwear called the Green Mountain Project (GMP) made from recycled plastic bottles, so you can ride with a free conscience. These feature Burton's new DRYRIDE Eco-Nanoshell fabrics, which harness the natural powers of wax, hemp, and bionic yarns to create style that’s a far cry from crunchy couture. With a mid-weight fleece lining and Test-I-Cool venting, you're sure to stay warm and cool when needed. The GMP 2L Fireside Pants were made for the shredding hippies, or anyone else who wants to do their part in preventing world destruction.
DRYRIDE Eco-Nanoshell 2-Layer Fabric – The next step in water-repellency, NEW DRYRIDE Eco-Nanoshell 2L fabric modifies recycled fabric at a molecular level by permanently bonding hydrophobic “whiskers” to individual fibers. Water-droplets are elevated, causing them to bead and roll off for long-lasting performance that won’t break down over time, or alter the fabric’s look and feel like typical fluorocarbon-based water-repellent coatings.
Recycled Mountain Dew Bottle Fabric – We’ve all slammed our share of soda, but the downside to carbonated consumption is all the empties. Burton's fabric of a new generation taps the reclaimed pile of plastic to create material that reduces our impact. The process transforms recycled plastic bottles into pellets that are spun into yarns woven into the fabric that makes Burton's GMP outerwear collection.
Recycled Bionic Twill Fabric [True Black Colorway]
Natural Hemp Twill Fabric [True Black / Stout White Colorway]
Recycled Taffeta Lining – Taffeta offers a crisp, high-end feel that is often woven using a mix of synthetic fibers. Its unique hand feel and sheen make it ideal for printing and embossing, and like all Burton linings, it wicks and breathes easy to keep you dry from the inside out. Made using recycled materials
Waffle Fleece Lining – Combining warmth and the ability to keep you dry in a low-bulk package, this is perfect for riding in milder weather or whenever you don’t feel like adding layers.
Mid Fit – Bridging the gap between the classic Sig Fit and street influenced Slim Fit, Mid Fit is the best of both worlds. With a slightly longer inseam, the silhouette is narrower from hip to cuff with slight tailoring at the knee for proper articulation and rider-friendly function.
Thigh cargo pocketing
Zippered, microfleece lined handwarmer pockets
Test-I-Cool Zipper with Crossflow Venting™ – No-snag vents: Quickly and easily open your vents without the annoyance of having the zipper get caught in the mesh
Fully Taped Seams – Every seam in the pant is taped to create the ultimate foul weather seal.
Anti-Scuff Cuffs – Cuffs are reinforced with durable oxford fabric and contoured shaping for increased abrasion resistance.
Set and Forget Ghetto Slits – Customize your style and your sag with this evolution to Burton's zippered pant cuffs. Set how much you want the bottom hem to open when riding without having it sneak open all the way.
Jacket-to-Pant interface – Works with a looping mechanism that attaches pants to most other brand jackets
Boot gaiter with cuff-to-boot interface
Integrated Waist Adjustment
