Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket - Women's 2012: Pared-down and packable, the Patagonia Torrentshell Jacket is a no-frills, 2.5-layer H2No® barrier waterproof/breathable hard shell for seriously wet weather. The nylon jacket has a Deluge® DWR finish and stuffs into one of two zippered handwarmer pockets while the hood rolls down and stows away.

Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) Finish – Patagonia's proprietary durable water repellent fabric finish, Deluge® DWR, lasts substantially longer than a standard DWR's. Garments with the Deluge® DWR finish have like-new repellency after years of extensive use.
H2No® – this barrier is Patagonia's standard for 100% waterproof and breathable protection. H2No® is created by adding a waterproof and breathable laminate or coating to a high performance protective fabric. This fabric package blocks wind and water on the outside while allowing water vapor generated by your body to escape.
