40D 100% Nylon Ripstop Hyvent® DT EC (50% non-petroleum membrane): New for Spring 2011, the Hyvent® DT EC membrane reflects The North Face’s ambition to find and use renewable resources in their manufacturing. The alternative in the Hyvent® DT EC is natural castor oil from beans harvested in Africa and India. The use of castor oil reduces the inclusion of synthetic components by 50%. All this is done while maintaining ideal waterproofing, breathability and durability.
