Great, light weight pant for warm days or layer for colder days. I usually wear a small in board pants and they end up being too short. I bought a medium in the holden because of the reviews and they fit great (I normally wear a size 4 or 27/28 & am 5'8"). The length is great and the zippers at the bottom help them fit over my bulky boots. The one problem is that the waist is huge & there's no way to adjust it. I don't like that I have to use a belt, but the pants are great so they're worth it.

Bought these for my girlfriend, Christmas 2009. She already had last year's version of these Holden Standard pants, size medium, which were starting to show some wear and was getting tired of the same ol pants and color. These (2010 version) are a bit improved in features, have a different style material, since what used to be more of a denim feel is now a slicker crosshatch type of fabric, and have a slightly less tapered knee. In other words, they were a snowboarding version of women's flared jeans. These new 2010 Holden Standard are similar, but less dramatically cut.

The only problem is Holden went and upsized these an entire half-size from last year. Maybe a few people complained they ran too small previously. I know this is true, because we compared a medium from last year to a medium from this year and there was quite a difference all around, in width and length. There was no way she could fit them, so had to return these babies and get a size Small.

Previously, some people said the Standard were a bit narrow in the knee or wide in the hips. You probably won't find as much of an issue with this latest version. But hey, these are women's pants, if you want pants that fit like a man, buy guy's or unisex pants. And if you still want them really slim, buy the Holden Skinny.

I love these pants. They're plain enough to go with any jacket, trendy or not. I have long legs, that's why I decided to try Holden out. They fit great. (I'm 5'7", 130lbs. Got size large and wear a belt.) They're more affordable, but you definitely get your money's worth. After wearing them for a full season, they've held up great. I only lost a snap on one of the back pockets from sitting on a picnic table bench. It got wedged between the two boards. Also, the waterproofing is better than I expected. I just washed them a couple times with the Nikwax Tech Wash to keep them clean.

Great pants. Tons of style. Modern cut, not for those who like the droopy pant look. I'm 5'5 / 125 and the medium is a bit long.There is plenty of room for layering without the saggy butt, with the medium. The small legnth is just right, but too snug in the thigh for me. If your thinking of these...buy them.
