I bought this jacket during the off-season, so I can't specifically comment on its performance while skiing/riding, but I don't have any doubts about it. It's not insulated, so under-layers will be important, though it does have a nice fuzzy fleece lining on portions of the inside that may add a bit of extra warmth. As long as the waterproofing holds up, that will be the most important function. I'll have to write an updated review regarding that. The jacket is attractive - definitely could also be worn as casual-wear - it has a good design. All Burton products (even the ones labeled "regular" or "signature" fit, do tend to run a bit on the slim side, so I do make a rule of ordering a size up to allow for plenty of layering space underneath (I'm usually a small, but order a medium in all their outerwear). It's also nice and lightweight - not bulky or restricting.

      I'm 5'4, 120', and for some reason I've been having problems with armpit fit! This is the 3rd jacket I've tried that was to tight around the armpits, and when you're layering for snowboarding, that is just not going to work! I ordered a small, I guess a medium might have fit, although I'm usually a small for most clothing. If you have fat armpits, this is not the jacket for you!

        I am super picky about coats as I have a true hourglass figure. It seems I can never find a coat with a powder skirt to fit my hips that actually looks nice. The medium would have fit fine but I went for the large just for some extra wiggle room. I don't like to snowboard with tight gear on. It has plenty of pockets and the tucked away pass holder in the front zipper has been extremly useful and clever. It is not the warmest coat by itself but it's not meant to be. I've been plenty warm when I layer and I've been out in neg temps this year. Plus, sherpa back liner has been awesome. For the price and its features it has been the best coat I've owned so far.

                This is a great jacket and it's definitely unique. The keef color is more of a bright green (looks more like the grass stain color in the online pic) and I was hoping for a darker green but it grew on me. I'm easy to spot on the mountain! It runs a little small, I got a small and probably could have been in a medium. I just wear thin layers underneath and I'm ok though.

                The jacket is a great fit- long, which is great because I'm tall and have a long torso- and the sleeves are a great length. The shearling lining is soft and warm, although I'm not sure how warm it will be at -10 C's or colder. Lots of layering would be a good idea!
