Shell fabric: Nylon/Poly fabric - The surface of the shell fabric is treated with a Durable Water Repellant (DWR) finish to act as an initial barrier to moisture. The backside of the fabrics are also treated with another water resistant and breathable coating to act as a climate control system that lets perspiration out but keeps moisture from penetrating inward keeping hands warm and dry

Insert: GORE-TEX® waterproof/breathable– Always the best in class, with the highest combined levels of waterproofing, breathability, durability, and softness available while providing optimal comfort and protection

Palm: Durable water repellent leather

Insulation

High-loft synthetic insulation (110 /340g) The non-bulky nature of this insulation allows breathability in warm conditions.

Comments about DaKine Firebird Mittens - Women's:

Received these last year for christmas from my boyfriend and love them! So warm that I can only wear them snowboarding on the really cold days. They got soaked on the outside the last time I rode due to a wet snow dump but were still dry and warm on the inside for the whole day. A bit bulky like boxing gloves but have broken in over the last year and do not appear as bulky.
