Back in the day, Baron was a title of nobility, meaning “free nobleman.” Whether or not DaKine had that in mind for the DaKine Baron Mittens, when you wear them you’ll feel like the king of winter. Built with synthetic insulation and a GORE-TEX® membrane, your hands will be warm and dry without giving up the leather quality you know and love from DaKine.

GORE-TEX® waterproof and breathable insert combines the highest levels of waterproofing, breathability, durability and softness while providing optimal comfort and protection.
Durable Water Repellent leather palm
Nylon/Poly shell.
Insulation
High loft synthetic insulation provides an excellent balance of comfort, warmth, and value. It resists moisture in wet conditions providing loft retention; the non-bulky nature of the insulation allows breathability when conditions are warmer.

      I took these snowboarding. They are super warm but I kept getting snow inside because there is no adjustable wrist strap. However thanks to the gortex and warmth, the snow melted fast and my hands stayed almost too warm. Great mitten but if you have skinny wrists like me snow WILL get in
