      I was going to buy the new 2011 Smartwool long-sleeve baselayer with the longer drop tail, but I couldn't pass these up at 50% off. I commute via bicycle 8 miles to work, each way, and was using a Patagonia Capilene 3 baselayer during the cold months here in Kansas. After two uses it would get that smelly synthetic funk to it and need to be washed. I've worn one of these Smartwool shirts on over a dozen rides so far and as long as I hang it somewhere to air out, it emits practically zero odor. I'm sure I could go even longer without washing.

      These are also comfortable just around the house or going out. In about any situation except sleeping. When pressed between the bed and my skin it itches a tiny bit... just enough to be annoying. Otherwise, these shirts are freakin' amazing.
