Comments about Patagonia Ultralight Down Shirt:

Can't wait to take backpacking. It's a third of the weight of a fleece sweater, and every bit as warm, and wind proof as well. It even looks nice - good enough to wear around town and look stylish, although I'll probably wear it more as a technical outerwear than a fashion statement. There are no pockets, but there weren't any in the fleece it replaced, so I really don't care. I'm a little worried about durability and loss of down, but we'll have to see how that works over time.

Comments about Patagonia Ultralight Down Shirt:

This is my new go-to ultralight outer layer -it's perfect; it does fit snugly as you would expect from a Patagonia "slim fit" so keep this in mind if you plan on layering (but it is so warm that you my only need a thin layer underneath). If you can get this on sale, go for it!!

Comments about Patagonia Ultralight Down Shirt:

Ultra warm, ultra light. Fit is slim and layers extremely well. When I'm going to be out in extreme cold I'll layer this over my wool and my fleece over this and I still don't feel constricted. Very easy to overheat if active. Great layer for when activity is low and you need to stay warm.

Comments about Patagonia Ultralight Down Shirt:

This is a great pullover but the lack of pockets make it somewhat impractical for wearing as a jacket replacement. Also, the shiny look of these Patagonia Ultralight Down tops can attract attention which you may or may not like. I'm 5'7" and the extra small fits perfect!
