Völkl Volkl Gotama Skis 2015

Virtually unchanged over the years and still ruling the steeps, the Völkl Gotama Skis are Völkl's most versatile all-mountain performer. With a dense Multi-Layer wood core and Tough Box construction, the Gotama slays hard and soft snow alike and blasts through crust and mank like it wasn't even there. If there's only room for one ski in the quiver, make sure the Gotama's it.

Rocker Type

ELP Full RockerVölkl matches the sidecut and flex of the ski perfectly to give it a smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail. This results in easy maneuverability in tight spaces and soft snow, but enables the skier to gain full edge contact when the ski is put on edge. Full Rocker skis have a slightly stiffer tip and softer mid-body to give you bomber stability, uncanny smoothness and easy turn initiation in one package.

Core

Multi-Layer Wood CoreVölkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern is tailored to each ski model, depending on the desired performance.

Laminates

Tough Box ConstructionVölkl protects the goods (in this case the Multi-Layer wood core) with a composite and fiberglass sheath for resiliance, durability and snap.

Power ConstructionConstruction utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. Used in racing skis as well as all the freeskiing models, this versatile, proven construction provides tremendous grip, stability, and a smooth ride.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Rossignol Axial3 120 Ski Bindings 2015

The brand new Axial3 Rossignol Ski Binding is making a big appearance this year. Rossignol took their trusted Axial design and added some additional firepower. The Axial3 heelpiece has increased coupling strength to make this binding the industry's strongest boot-to-binding interface so you can be sure your DIN is always exactly where you want it, right on the money. Weight has been reduced, ramp angles made more neutral, and step-in / step-out functionality increased making the Axial3 a more user-friendly alpine binding than ever before. What was great has just been made greater.
