The one that changed the game. The original Rossignol Angus Mid Wide Snowboard proved rocker wasn’t just for powder by winning Transworld’s Good Wood and Snowboarder’s Best of Test awards in the Best All-Mountain category. The new and beefier 2012 Rossignol Angus Mid Wide Snowboard with AmpTek All-Mountain camber technology means that this board can rail on man-made hardpack and float effortlessly in the lightest pow on earth. Early rise tip for absorption, positive camber between the feet for punch, carbon for explosive pop, Kevlar® for the hard landings, and a sintered base for durability and speed.
Rocker Type
AmpTek All-Mountain 60% rocker / 40% camber for more control and stability. Patented AmpTek technology integrates reversed camber tips into a regular cambered board (between the feet), extending the sidecut radius to go all the way to the tip kicks so that this amber-to-reversed-camber construction guarantees faster transitions, more pop, smoother landings, increased floatation, more grip, more edge pressure and more control. AmpTek All Mountain tech is especially nimble in the powder.
Flex
Flex Rating: 7 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)
Construction and Core
The Wood C/K core combines Rossignol’s standard 100% wood core with carbon and Kevlar® fibers that give punch and durability for an outstanding performance during park sessions and all terrain riding.
The progressive radius provides a short radius between the feet that gets longer towards the nose and tail for incredible edge grip and explosive power when you exit your turn.
Shape
Directional twin
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Sintered 7500 Base

Ive used it a couple times already this season and its great! Holds edges well, its super lite, and i can use it for pretty much anything. I progress in riding skills every time im on it, and i definitely recommend this to anyone who doesnt have a specific category of riding. Its a little stiff but that gives it its pop and stability.

Decent ride not quite my style (just can't jump on the rocker bandwagon) a smooth easy going ride, just not as comfortable railing carves as I would like.

My issue is with rossignol's quality control and warranty service. The board has a indent/bubble on the top sheet along an edge that was missed by Rossi QC. I sent the board back to Rossi. I asked to be contacted with the warranty determination, instead I received a package today, and found out that no action was taken. I called and was told that since it passed QC, it was not a warranty issue and was just cosmetic. I did not buy a factory second or a blem, Rossignol's workmanship and customer service are lacking. Gave one star simply because of the issue, would be 4.0 based on the ride.

Been using it in parks and curated slopes. Believe I bit more than I can chew since it's not a beginner board, but it was still quite fun to use for the 8 hours I was on the slopes!

Made 3 trips on this board, each time it gets better as I adjust the positioning of my bindings. It is not as stiff as my older board, so you can get a little vibration at high speeds. It is really stable and easy to use snowboard, rarely catch edges on this board.

I have ridden this board in deep, wet Sierra Cement in Lake Tahoe as well as fluffy pow in Colorado and it does it's job. The rocker really keeps your front nose up without much effort at all. With the slightest camber between your feet, it holds an edge with great stability at mock speeds down groomers as well.

I only have one day on the board so far but was very happy with how it felt. Handled the mixed conditions of early season extremely well and was very forgiving. I'm a pretty casual snowboarder and this is the perfect board for that. It was stable, smooth, predictable, and forgiving when I needed it. The Angus surpassed my expectations of an all mountain board.
