Rossignol Angus Amptek Rocker Snowboard 2011 – The board that re-started it all: the Rossignol Angus AmpTek Rocker Snowboard’s AmpTek All Mountain camber is the innovation 2009 will be remembered for. It’s the most popular model that Rossignol has offered in years and for 2011 the Rossignol Angus AmpTek Rocker Snowboard lives on with features that make this board the mother of all mountain snowboards. Early rise tip for absorption, positive camber between the feet for punch, carbon for explosive pop, Kevlar® for the hard landings, and a sintered base for durability and speed, featuring London’s Dan Mumford’s art.
Flex
Flex Rating: 7 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff) This all mountain freestyle board’s directional twin shape provides a perfectly symmetrical nose and tail, but with inserts that are located 1 to 2cms towards the back. It is slightly directional for more versatility but you can still easily adjust your stance to twin if needed. The stiffer flex rating of 7 also gives you plenty of pop and response.
Construction and Core
The Wood C/K core combines Rossignol’s standard 100% wood core with carbon and Kevlar® fibers that give punch and durability for an outstanding performance during park sessions and all terrain riding. Patented AmpTek technology integrates reversed camber tips into a regular cambered board (between the feet), extending the sidecut radius to go all the way to the tip kicks so that this camber-to-reversed-camber construction guarantees faster transitions, more pop, smoother landings, increased floatation, more grip, more edge pressure and more control. AmpTek All Mountain tech is especially nimble in the powder.
Shape
The progressive radius provides a short radius between the feet that gets longer towards the nose and tail for incredible edge grip and explosive power when you exit your turn
Amptek Rocker Camber: No matter what your friends tell you, Rossignol’s Amptek Rocker is for everyone. This innovative technology makes riding easier, and when we say easier we mean everything from the park to the pow. Amptek Rocker is a negative arch (like the bottom of a rocking chair) board profile with the lowest points between the bindings and highest point towards the tip and tail. This not only lets you glide effortlessly through powder, pop huge off your ollies, and stay stable as you huck off jumps, Rossignol’s Amptek Rocker lets you hold your edge and initiate turns like it was nothing.
Base
The Rossignol Angus AmpTek Rocker Snowboard features the speedy Sintered 4400 base.

Comments about Rossignol Angus Amptek Rocker Snowboard 2011:

This is my first board with Rocker/Amptek technology. I have been riding an old, LONG, stiff board previously to this. I thought I would be sacrificing stability in higher speed carving, but have been pleasantly surprised at the performance of this board.
My only complaint is the drill mounts are a little farther apart than I would prefer.
The price was fantastic! You beat the socks off the rest of the competition.

Comments about Rossignol Angus Amptek Rocker Snowboard 2011:

I upgraded to this board after using the same board for about seven years. The first thing I noticed was the speed. It is much faster and more liteweight than my old board. The only thing I am not super pleased with is my carving ability. On harder snows I have a harder time holding my edge in on sharp turns. Specifically on my heel side. Other than that it is a great board.

Comments about Rossignol Angus Amptek Rocker Snowboard 2011:

So far my 1st snowboard, its a great snowboard to learn on, its pretty cool, after a few falls im getting used to it. Is hard to keep balance when going down on ice which is the case most of the time anywhere you go unless it just snowed. Turning on ice while going downhill may just be a skill i need to learn and not necessarily the snowboards fault. I have no problem with it in a lil bit of powder is like skateboarding almost, moves without a problem. Pretty good for my first snowboard, im sure as time goes and i get better at it, this will turn out to be one of the best snowboards on a budget.
